Room 3- Continuing into the dessert where the view sees the darker side of trade before entering the last room.
Room 4- The market is the final room of the journey where the audience can see the rewards of trade and start a new silk road journey!
An Installation with Audio. Mashed up stories from Strangers about death and dying. Six foot tall by one foot wide by one foot deep boxes create a world for these stories to exist within the present. The chair and table in the center holds an audio from over 50 strangers discussing their death stories in ten second clips. (audio clips can be listened to under audio art)
Material: Steel Inspired by osteocytes and lacunae inside the human body. As the osteocytes are about to distribute information the viewer stands in the middle disrupting the exchange.
An installation involving audio from strangers in regards to death and dying. The video on the left was of the participants 'most animated part of the body when talking' as they tell the story. In the center is a blindfold. The video on the right is of the people in the audio standing against a white wall. The Boxes represent two stories. The one on the left is from a strangers near death experience on a plane. The one on the right from a strangers loved one lost to dementia.
